Chiropractic Care

If you’ve never been to a chiropractor before, you might be unfamiliar with what we do. Chiropractic is designed to assess the health of your spine and nervous system to make sure that they’re supplying your body with the best possible function.

Dr. Jensen’s and Dr. Stordy’s focus is on ensuring that your nerves are sending messages to your brain and body. With his training and experience, he will assess the condition of your spine, joints, muscles and nerves to determine if chiropractic care is needed or can benefit you.

Offering an Array of Techniques

If we find that chiropractic care is right for you, we’ll use our many techniques to help you recover. If not, you will be referred to a healthcare practitioner that is better suited to your case.

Our chiropractic techniques include:

  • Diversified. With this approach, a specific thrust is applied to the spine to relieve inflammation and nerve irritation. The result is muscle relaxation and improved joint mobility.
  • Activator®. This lighter force approach involves a handheld tool. It’s appropriate for children, seniors with bone density concerns or anyone who does not want a manual adjustment.
  • Pettibon System. In today’s world, postural issues are increasingly common. We use this specialized system of adjusting and strengthening rehabilitation methods to restore proper posture.
  • Thompson. This specialized table has a piece that drops away. It allows for a lower amount of force to be used and a higher level of comfort.

Our Three Phases of Care

Most of our patients come to us because they’re seeking a solution for back pain, neck pain and headaches. If we determine chiropractic may help you, we begin with an acute phase of care. This phase may involve coming in 2-3 times a week for 2-4 weeks depending on your case. As your function returns and your symptoms get under control, we’ll move into a corrective, stabilization phase of care.

When you have recovered, you’ll have the option to enroll in preventative wellness care. This phase involves coming in every couple of weeks or every few months to have routine checkups.

Addressing Any Concerns You Have

Rest assured that Dr. Jensen will answer all of your questions before you receive an adjustment. If there is a particular technique that you prefer, we will be happy to accommodate you. We have a solid reputation for providing results-oriented care that keeps you comfortable. You’ll also sign a consent form before getting started with care.
